The logo of the department is inspired by the mother university logo. It is characterized by the toothed wheel which forms the heart of the emblem and it is also incorporated with the blue color and its other grades. As for the small circle inside the toothed wheel, it represents the scientific message of the department indicated by the symbolic figures which refer to the three engineering specializations namely; electrical engineering, electronic engineering and communication engineering. A remote look at the whole emblem reveals as if it were an open eye looking trustfully toward future. The emblem was designed by Assistant Lecturer Mohammed A. Noaman  under the supervision of Prof. Jawad K. Ali.
